1) Get familiar with the website navigation.  It’s pretty simple.  Click around the different tabs and areas of the website and see what there is.  The clean format is intended to emphasize words and ideas.  The most current posts will show up front and center on the home page.  You can also read older posts by scrolling down below the most recent one.

2) Read the latest column and comments that have already been posted.

3) Leave a comment by clicking on the appropriate link at the bottom of the post (note: ‘post’ refers to the blog entry).  Please use your first name, identify your school or affiliation and use an email address that you check regularly.  Your email address will neither be public nor shared.  You can either respond to the original post or to other comments that are attached to that post.

Ideas for commenting might include:

• Responding to questions in the post
• Sharing thoughts on the same or related topics
• Asking clarifying or deepening questions
• Just saying hello and introducing yourself!

3) Revisit and share after you visit.  Bookmark the website into your ‘favorites’ folder.  Subscribe to the post by filling in the appropriate information at the bottom of a specific blog entry.  Check to see how your comment generates more conversation and share a link to the post via your social media of choice.  There are buttons at the bottom of each post to facilitate that sharing.
